Terms & Policies

RESERVATION POLICIES:

Once you’ve signed up for a class using our website or app and you have an account with us, you should receive a confirmation email with details about the class. If you haven’t received an email (check your SPAM/JUNK folders!), feel free to give us a call to confirm. Once confirmed, we will hold your bike until 3 minutes before the start of class. If you haven’t checked in at the exact start of class, your bike will be given to a waitlisted or standby rider unless you have called and let us know of your late arrival. Please keep in mind that, even if you do call, all riders must be in the spin room 5 minutes after class has started. Please refer to our FAQ page for specific policy regarding NEW CLIENTS. Joining the waitlist is like signing up for class. As spots become available, they will be automatically allocated to those on the waitlist on a first come, first served basis up to 30 minutes before the start of class. If you are allocated a spot through the waitlist, you will be notified by email.

Please make sure to cancel your place on the waitlist if you no longer wish to attend class. You can do this at any point – without penalty – via the website or app, unless you have already been added to class.  Once you are assigned a spot, the normal cancellation policy is in effect.

In the 30 minute window prior to the start of class, front desk will only add you to class if they are able to reach you via phone or if you are physically in the studio.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

We understand things come up, so we try to be as fair as possible. If you know you can’t make a class, give us a call/send us an email and we will cancel your reservation. As long as you’ve given us 12 hours or more, you won’t be charged a fee and you’ll still keep your credit towards a different class.

Effective Jan 4 2024, AXL will be enforcing the following late cancel/no-show policy. The policy applies to BOTH membership holders and clients booking via credit packages:

LATE CANCEL: $15 penalty fee + RETURN of class credit

  • Late Cancels are reservations canceled less than 12 hours before class start time

  • Penalty fees and credit returns will be processed within 1 business day of the date of the affected class time

NO SHOW: $20 penalty fee + RETURN of class credit

  • No shows are reservations that are not canceled before class start time

  • Penalty fees and credit returns will be processed within 1 business day of the date of the affected class time

Late cancellations are better than no shows, but in both cases we want you to retain your credit so you can join us again in the future! While we do understand that things come up, we strongly encourage you to be mindful of the policy when planning out your week at AXL. As a general reminder, AXL enforces a 12 hour cancellation window policy- any reservations canceled outside of the 12 hour window for the relevant class time will not incur a fee.

NOTE: AXL Unlimited Members will be allotted 2 grace cancels per quarter, applicable ONLY towards late cancellations.

CHECK-IN:

NEW CLIENTS: New clients are required to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to the start of class. We will use these 10 minutes to check you in, give you a studio tour and support your bike setup in class. This policy will be strictly enforced to guarantee a safe and stress-free experience. New clients may not be permitted in to class if they arrive within 10 minutes of the class start time. New clients will NOT be permitted into class once class has started. We will always return the credit back to the client's account for future use/waive the penalty fee in these situations.

RETURNING CLIENTS: We ask that our returning riders arrive and check in at least 3 minutes prior to the start of class. If you aren't checked in at the exact start of class, and haven't given us a heads up about your tardiness, your bike will be released to a walk in or stand by rider and you will be considered a no-show.

LATE Entry: while "late entries" are highly discouraged across the board, we offer a 5 minute window from the start of class to when a rider can be allowed into the spin room (if the spot is available and IF rider has called ahead with a heads up). Unfortunately, late entries beyond the 5 minute mark are NOT allowed for safety reasons. Late entries also disrupt an ongoing class and create a distraction for instructor and fellow riders alike. Please note that NEW clients will NOT be permitted late into class regardless of a heads up. In these situations, we will return the credit back to a rider's account for future uses/waive the penalty fee.
