SAUNA FAQs
Do I need to create an account in order to book a sauna session?
Yes. All riders must create their own account and sign our Liability Waiver prior to using our saunas. We do not allow anyone under the age of 18 to book a sauna session. Once you’ve registered, signing up for a sweat session is a breeze!

When can I book my first session?
Once you’ve registered on our site or via our app, you will have access to our schedule and can book your recovery sessions in advance. The sauna bookings are similar to our ride bookings: sessions for the week will drop every Sunday at 12PM EST. Our suggestion: book your spot(s) early in the week- they will fill up quickly!
What should I know before my first sweat session?
Infrared saunas are different from traditional steam saunas in that they utilize infrared lamps and electromagnetic radiation to warm your body rather than heat the air around you. This means you get all the benefits of a sauna experience at a much lower temperature, making the session a lot more tolerable and enjoyable. The heat levels are customizable to your comfort, and benefits from the sauna are triggered after 20 minutes. As a result, our sessions are max 25 minutes each. If at any point you are uncomfortable, simply open the sauna door and take a break in the locker area.
Can I use my class pack or ride credit towards a sauna session?
Our ride credits, memberships, and class packs are ALL valid for the sauna sessions. Our Unlimited memberships allow for unlimited sauna uses as well!
Okay, I just signed up for my first sauna experience! When should I arrive?
We encourage everyone to show up for their first sweat session 10 minutes early. This will help us give you a rundown of the experience, go over preferred temperature settings and safety protocols, and give you ample time to get situated in your sauna room. If you haven’t checked in at the start of the sauna session, you will not lose your sauna credit but will be charged a fee (please refer to our LATE CANCEL/NO SHOW policy outlined in the general FAQs and T&C page). Running late? Give us a call and we’ll do our best to accommodate. Please note, the absolute latest we will allow someone to begin their sauna session is 5 minutes after it starts, even after they have checked in.
What should I bring to my first session?
Just be on time, bring a bathing suit or something similar, and a water bottle! We have a purified water station so you can stay hydrated before and after your session. We have complimentary towels available for your use, along with showers and a freshen-up bar stocked with amenities by LATHER, a female-owned natural body care brand. Oh, and definitely bring your phone to connect to the BT in the sauna room and jam out to some music for 25 minutes!
PRO TIP: We do not recommend showering right after your session, but waiting at least 30 minutes before rinsing off. For continued benefits of hot/cold therapy, try taking a cold shower if tolerable!
What should I wear to the sauna?
Please do not wear street clothes or sweaty gym clothes into the sauna. Normally, you should wear something light and comfortable into a sauna which could be (clean) workout clothes, swimwear, or just loose cotton shorts and top. Grab some towels before you head in to place underneath you and to wipe off any sweat during your session. Feel free to go barefoot or wear shower slippers in the room.
What are your studio amenities?
We proudly offer fully-stocked showers, a well-outfitted freshen up bar carrying dry shampoo, blow dryers, and makeup wipes. We have plenty of towels for your use in and out of the sauna, along with a purified water station to keep you hydrated.
Where can I store my stuff during my session?
Our studio has several lockers and cubbies monitored by our staff for you to store your belongings during class so you can have a stress-free experience.
Booking Window:
You are able to book a session for the week every Sunday at 12PM EST- when classes go live on our platform. Since we have to prep and heat the sauna room prior to use, the booking cut-off for each session will be 30 minutes prior to the start time. This will give our staff the opportunity to properly clean, heat, and set up your sauna room for an optimal recovery experience. Our website and app reflect the most up-to-date information regarding session times, availability, and cancellations.
What if I’m running late for my session?
Give us a call and as long as it’s no more than 5 minutes late, we’ll hold your spot. However, if you’re going to be more than 5 minutes late, you will be subject to our Late Cancel/No Show policy outlined in our general FAQs.
How do I set up the sauna?
Infrared saunas operate at a temperature of 110-145*F. The ideal temperature for a 25 minute session is 135*F; beginners should start at the lower end and work their way up to higher temps if desired. Your room will be “pre-heated” by our staff and waiting for you before you arrive. If it’s your first time, we will start you at the lower end of the temperature range, unless requested otherwise. After your first few session, we will make a note of your preferred temperature in your account profile once you have dialed it in. All you have to do is hydrate, change, and head in!
NOTE: If you are riding right before your sauna session, we recommend you leave the class before the cool-down stretch and head straight to your sauna (after hydrating!)
Can I cancel or move my reservation?
The short answer is YES. Give us a call and we will do our best to work with you. You can cancel before any session with at least a 12 hour notice and not be charged a penalty. If you would like to move your reservation to a different sauna session for the same day, give us a call/send us a note and we’ll see how we can accommodate you.
What are the benefits of sauna?
Infrared sauna is a great way to let your body de-stress, relax, and soak in some warmth while improving your hemodynamic function. To learn more about studies conducted on the benefits of sauna, check out these articles from Harvard Medical School and JAMA Internal Medicine.
