Meet Michela

“Don’t stop until you’re proud!”

Hi AXL, it’s Michela! My journey with spin started about 7 years ago when I first moved to Boston. I struggled with a lot of anxiety after I moved to a new city and I needed to find an outlet to release some stress and ground myself. I nervously made my way into my first spin class and tucked myself in the back corner. After those 45 minutes of spinning, and much to my surprise, 45 minutes of smiling, I knew I had to come back! Who knew that an EDM remix ride could change your life?!

I can’t wait to see riders feel empowered and excited to push themselves in class. I want you to take the workout seriously, but don’t take yourself seriously! We will put in lots of hard work, but I want us to laugh together, sing together, and maybe even cry together (don’t tell me that you haven’t shed a tear during a moody “moment” song!). We are putting in the work together and I can’t wait to set & crush goals with you.

When not teaching or taking classes at AXL, you will find me at any of the dog parks in Eastie with my dog, Bodie (probably trying to pull random objects out of his mouth that he picked up off the ground), or having an Aperol Spritz (or 2) with friends in the Seaport or North End.

Music Type: I can’t decide! If I have to choose, I’m a big EDM girlie.
Class Style: I love a lot of choreo in class with lots of heavy beat drops.
3 Words to describe your class: Energizing, moving and memorable!
Fun Fact: I am a huge animal lover. I used to try to sneak wild animals (yes, wild…) into my house as a kid and would cry when my mom wouldn’t let me keep them. Now I just have 1 dog and 1 cat and that is PLENTY of chaos in this house!
Favorite Hangout Spot:  Mida Eastie bar, one of the bar seats that faces the waterfront!
