“The road to success is always under construction.” -AP
My transition from real estate to AXL was unexpected but wholly organic. I had devoted many years to real estate, but was getting burned out by the industry. The business as a whole had taken on a decidedly more transactional feel, and I made the decision to step back and reinvest my energy and focus on a business that I felt good about. Sana had started dragging me to spin class once a week and I saw the emotional and personal ROI in this business with every class I attended. I found myself looking for ways to improve on the current experience being offered everywhere we went. I didn't know it then, but I had started conceptualizing AXL from the very first spin class I took.

“You're only one spin class away from a good mood"
I've been a spin addict for several years now. It was the first workout that not only was physically rewarding for me, but mentally refreshing as well. I loved the team mentality, the friendly competition, and the "ride with your pack" vibe. I started going to class 5 days a week, sometimes twice a day. It gave me 45 minutes every day to just focus on ME. Bad day? Take a spin class. Good day? Take a spin class! That's why bringing spin to Eastie was such a no-brainer to us. I fell in love with the neighborhood when I lived here years ago, and with AXL, I get to give some of that love back! So stop by and say hi, because I can't wait to meet all of you, either checking you in at the front desk, or perhaps, taking a class on the bike next to you!

"What lies behind us and what lies before us are small matters compared to what lies within us." - Ralph Waldo Emerson
I'm Heather - a former collegiate athlete (GO Bentley Field Hockey!) and marathon runner...you could say cardio is in my blood. I first got on the bike in 2012 as part of marathon training and cut more than 45 minutes off my PR in 2013 - since then, I was hooked. I've been teaching indoor cycling since 2014 and still feel a rush of excitement every time I get in the saddle.
My goal is to provide you with an outlet; a release from the stresses we face every day. My classes provide you the space where you can close your eyes and reflect, and also the space where you can rock out to the rhythm of the music like you're a kid in a candy store in the center of Disney World!
When I'm not on the bike, I cook and create meal plans for clients as a personal chef and help individuals as a Certified Exercise Nutrition Coach. I LOVE a good iced coffee or glass of vino and am always looking for a new place to travel/explore.

“Believe it can be done“
Hi! I'm Ellen, a Mainer, who loves to work hard and will always deliver a sweaty class. Expect big beats, big hills, and fast runs that will leave you feeling strong and confident as you walk out of class.
I'm a former collegiate rower (yea IC rowing!) who loves competition and staying fit. As much as I love rowing, there is no other workout like spin, and I love taking class just as much as instructing. You'll always see me supporting fellow AXL instructors and the Boston fitness community.
When I'm not teaching fitness, you can find me at lululemon on Newbury st, planning corporate events, or trail running with my Australian Shepherd Olivia.

“Am I out of breath from working so hard or from singing?”
I grew up on the North Shore of MA and have been living in Boston ever since graduating Providence College in 2014. I love Boston through and through. I love keeping the New England attitude on the bike with positive motivation to inspire my riders. I started instructing because I moved to a new neighborhood and wanted to find a community while staying healthy. With the friends I made and the calling I felt to the bike I started teaching and loving every minute of the boutique fitness world. With every class I remember those values of connecting with people and getting a good sweat.
I design a playlist to take you to oldies, goodies, and current jams; as long as you're bobbing along you forget how hard you're working! I hope with these bops you sing along with me (I can't help myself) and lose yourself in the challenge.
When I am not on the bike, I am running around Boston trying to pet everyone's dogs and making food.

“F-E-A-R has two meanings:
Forget everything And Run
Or
Face Everything And Rise.
The Choice is yours.“
Hi I’m Britt- a former swimmer, triathlete and marathon runner! I first got into spin when I started training with my mom for a triathlon. The second the lights went off and the beats went up I knew I found my calling. Spinning not only helps me train and push myself for upcoming races but it also allows me to rock out for a full 45 minutes with a room full of beautiful and hardworking souls. It does not get much better than that!
My classes are designed to push my rider’s to their maximum capacity each week while also having a kick ass party while doing so. When you take my class we will always be in it together. Whether or not it’s pushing that final sprint out in 3rd or picking up those 3 pound weights for arms, whatever I ask of my rider’s you better believe I will bring that same level of intensity and push.
When I am not teaching, you can find me traveling the globe to the next country on my list or helping clients plan their next getaway at a small tailor made travel company based in Boston’s north end.

“boss up and change your life”- lizzo
Positive energy is contagious and that's what I want you to feel through each & every one of my classes.
I've always played team sports and spin is no different when it comes to teamwork. Yes, it is your personal journey and motivation that got you to class in the first place, but it is the combined energy of you and those around you that motivates us to work harder and get stronger.
I am creative by nature and have turned that passion into a profession not only with my spin routines but with my day job in advertising. When I'm not leading a class or at the office I'm most likely visiting a local brewery with my dog "Porter" (hence the name *wink*).
Meet Jackson
“Who let the dogs out?”
Hi, my name is Jack and I am AXL’s official security guard. I’ve been appointed to watch over your belongings, as long as it doesn’t get in the way of my nap time. Gratuity is appreciated, but strawberries are my favorite.
